The Doogee S98 Pro has been announced and looks very much like the Doogee S98 which we have reviewed recently. The overall footprint and shape remain the same with minor changes in design details. The rear display from the S98 has been replaced by a thermal camera on the S98 Pro. It uses an InfiRay sensor with a resolution of 256×192 pixels. The 64MP OmniVision OV64B40 main camera of the S98 has been replaced by a 48MP Sony IMX582 main shooter on the S98 Pro. The 20MP Sony IMX350 Night Vision camera is retained as well as the 16MP Samsung selfie snapper. The battery remains the same – a 6000 mAh pack that supports 33W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The chipset is also unchanged – MediaTek Helio G96 paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. The two models use one and the same display either – a 6.3-inch IPS unit with an FHD+ resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass. The connectivity options include NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C port. The Doogee S98 Pro will be launched in June.
