At its “Wonderlust” event on Tuesday, Apple revealed the latest generation of iPhone, as well as updates to the Apple Watch. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are here, and you may soon be faced with the decision to shell out a little more money for a Pro model.
On the 2022 models, the Dynamic Island was one of the differentiating elements between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro. But this year, the feature was rolled into the basic iPhone 15, leaving the entire iPhone 15 lineup without a notch. Still, there are some important differences to consider when choosing between the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. Let’s see what happens.
iPhone 15 vs 15 Pro: screen and case
Both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro feature a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with a resolution of 2556 x 1179 pixels. The Pro’s screen, however, benefits from ProMotion technology, Apple’s way of saying that it has a variable refresh rate between 10 Hz and 120 Hz. Compared to the fixed 60 Hz refresh rate of the iPhone 15, this should result in smoother movements in videos, games and scrolling web pages. When you’re not watching YouTube or gaming on your smartphone, iPhone 15 Pro reduces the refresh rate to conserve battery life.
The iPhone 15 Pro also features an always-on display, which stays on and dims while charging to allow you to use sleep mode. The iPhone 15 does not have this feature.

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are made of different materials. The iPhone 15 has an aluminum body and a colored glass back, while the iPhone 15 Pro is made from titanium and has a textured matte glass back.
The iPhone 15 offers more color options, with choices like pink, light yellow, light green, pale blue, or black. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro is available in more sober shades: black, white, dark blue and natural titanium which has a beige tint.

In terms of dimensions, the iPhone 15 is slightly larger, but lighter than the iPhone 15 Pro. Titanium is lighter than aluminum, but the iPhone 15 Pro weighs more than the iPhone 15, largely because of its third camera. The iPhone 15 weighs 171 grams and the iPhone 15 Pro weighs 187 grams. The iPhone 15 Pro features ultra-thin bezels and takes a millimeter off the width and height of the iPhone 15, while being a fraction of a millimeter thinner.
One final difference between the two cases is the introduction of the Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro. It replaces the mute button that is still on the side of the iPhone 15. By default, a long press on the Action button turns the sound on and off. However, you can customize it to trigger a number of shortcuts, like turning on the flashlight, recording a voice memo, or opening the camera app and taking a photo.

iPhone 15 vs 15 Pro : appareils photo
Like previous iPhone lines, the iPhone 15 has two cameras on the back, while the iPhone 15 Pro has three. Both models feature a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The iPhone 15 Pro adds a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom that lets you get closer to your subject.
Both models support night mode, but only the iPhone 15 Pro allows you to take night mode photos in portrait mode.

iPhone 15 vs 15 Pro : composants
Inside, the iPhone 15 is equipped with an A16 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 15 Pro benefits from the new A17 Pro chip. However, both models should be very fast. Each processor is a six-core CPU with two performance cores and four efficiency cores. The iPhone 15 Pro is better suited to graphics and gaming, as its A17 Pro Bionic processor has a six-core GPU, compared to the A16 Bionic’s five.
Both models come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB versions, and the iPhone 15 Pro offers a fourth 1TB option.
iPhone 15 vs 15 Pro : vitesses USB-C
The new models include USB-C charging, but only the iPhone 15 Pro supports speeds up to 10 Gb/s of USB 3. The iPhone 15 is limited to speeds of 480 Mbit/s of USB 3. ‘USB 2. Additionally, you will need to purchase the USB-C 3 cable for the iPhone 15 Pro separately, as Apple ships a USB 2 cable with both of its phones.
