iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x are presented in China with Dimensity

iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x are presented in China with Dimensity 8200 and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipsetsVivo China has unveiled for the local market the iQOO Z8 and the iZOO Z8x. Both smartphones have identical designs and are available in identical colors – gray, light blue, and white. They will go on sale on September 7th.

iQOO Z8 is built around a 6.64-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2388 px and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen delivers 480 nits of typical brightness and 650 nits of peak one. It also has HDR10 and SGS Eye Safe certification. The model is based on a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset paired with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Its job is aided by a 3002 sq.mm. VC cooling system. Power is supplied by a 5000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The camera department includes a 16MP selfie snapper, a 64MP main shooter with OIS, and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone is also fitted with stereo speakers, an IR blaster, a headphone jack, an X-axis linear motor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs on OriginOS 3.1 based on Android 13 and supports NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3. iQOO Z8 is priced as follows:

  • 8GB+256GB = CNY 1599
  • 12GB+256GB = CNY 1799
  • 12GB+5126GB = CNY 1999

iQOO Z8x has the same display as the vanilla version but a downgraded camera department. For selfies, it uses an 8MP front camera, while the main rear camera employs a 50MP sensor. The 2MP depth sensor is retained. The battery’s capacity is increased to 6000 mAh but the fast charging capability is decreased to 44W compared to the Z8. The chipset is totally different – a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 unit with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/512GB of storage. iQOO Z8x is priced as follows:

  • 8GB+128GB = CNY 1199
  • 8GB+256GB = CNY 1299
  • 12GB+256GB = CNY 1499
