The Phone (2) has a 6.7-inch OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 px. Moreover, its LTPO backplane allows for an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. The unit supports 10-bit color bit depth and delivers 1600 nits of peaks of brightness. The Phone (2) also has slimmer bezels than those of the Phone (1) and the selfie camera punch hole has been moved to the center from the top left corner of the screen. Finally, a new and more advanced IC has been used to further reduce power consumption by the display.
Nothing Phone (2) is based on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Power is supplied by a 4700 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, 15W wireless charging, and 4W reverse charging support. The camera department has been also improved. The first upgrade is on the front camera. It now uses a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor with a 1/2.74″ optical format and an f/2.45 lens. On the back, the main 50MP camera now uses the better Sony IMX890 sensor with a 1/1.56″ optical format and an f/1.88 lens. The main rear camera is optically stabilized and supports 4K videos recording at 60 fps. Nothing has also focused on the software side by optimizing HDR and the motion-detecting algorithms for more true-to-life and blur-free photos.
Nothing has also worked heavily on the Nothing OS and UI. It has evolved to a bold monochromatic design that implements the Nothing DNA into the OS. For example, the icons and other elements on the Home Screen are stripped from color. All widgets have been customized as to fit the overall design language.
The price of the Nothing Phone (2) starts at USD 599. You can pre-order it now on nothing.tech.
