Oppo A2 Pro (PJG110) has been finally launched in China. It is very similar to the Oppo Reno10 (PHW110) but with significantly downgraded camera department. The two smartphones share one and the same display – a 6.7-inch AMOLED unit with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 px, 850 nits of HBM brightness, and 950 nits of peak brightness. It supports 10-bit color bit depth for 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage and a 120Hz refresh rate. The 3D curved display has a curvature angle of 56°. The A2 Pro also has the same battery and fast charging properties as the Reno10 – a 5000 mAh pack with 67W fast charging support. Finally, the processing power depends on one and the same chipset – MediaTek Dimensity 7050, which arrives with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Oppo A2 Pro (PJG110) has retained the main camera from the Reno10 that uses a 64MP sensor with a 6-element lens and an f/1.7 aperture, an 81° FoV, and autofocus. It is capable of recording 4K videos at 30 fps and is adjoined by a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is also downgraded to an 8MP unit with a 4-element lens with an f/2.0 aperture. The stereo speakers are replaced by a single, but very powerful, one reaching 86 dB of loudness.
The design of the Oppo A2 Pro deserves special description. While this model has almost an identical footprint as its Reno10 sibling for China, it does offer various additional perks to make it stand out from the crowd. For starters, the model arrives in three beautiful colors – Twilight Purple and Vast Black with glass rear shells and Desert Brown with vegan leather rear shell. The latter is slightly thicker and heavier than the first two. In addition, the A2 Pro has an IP54 rating for being protected against liquid splashes and dust. Oppo claims 4 years of protection specifying that the external openings and gaps are covered with waterproof materials to build a “waterproof dam”. The internal key components also use waterproof materials. Moreover, the A2 Pro has a “diamond anti-fall” structure which includes several improvements – thicker and stronger corners, fully sealed internal components are protected from functional failure caused by drops or similar impact, and critical components are equipped with cushioning materials to provide airbag-like protection.
