Oppo Reno8 series will be unveiled on May 23rd

Oppo unveiled on its Weibo page that the Oppo Reno8 series will be presented on May 23 at 7 PM in China. It is expected that one of the three devices from the series will be the first sporting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. The latter uses Samsung’s 4mn press with an octa-core CPU comprising four 2.36GHz A710 cores and four 1.8GHz A510 cores. An Adreno 662 GPU joins them. Additionally, the MariSilicon X NPU chip found on the Oppo Find series will also be used on the Reno8 series. The other two smartphones will most likely be based on Dimensity 1300 and Dimensity 8100-MAX chipsets. The design will be reminiscent of that of the OnePlus Ace.

The Oppo A55s 5G has been quietly unveiled in China and is totally different from the Oppo A55s 5G for Japan which was announced in November last year. The Chinese model is based on a Dimensity 700 chipset and is a twin of the Oppo A56 5G.
