Oppo Reno9, Oppo Reno9 Pro, and Oppo Reno9 Pro+ are finally

The Oppo Reno9 series has been unveiled today, including three models: as promised

The Oppo Reno9 and the Oppo Reno9 Pro have identical designs, dimensions, weights, and batteries. Each is 7.19 mm thin, weighs 174 grams, packs a 4500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, and has a 3D curved design front and back. The vanilla version is available in gold, black, peach, and red colors. The Pro version has gold, black, and peach variants. The displays are also identical – 6.7-inch OLED units with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, 2160Hz PWM dimming, a 120Hz refresh rate, 950 nits peak brightness, and 10-bit color bit depth. The punch hole in the display houses one and the same selfie camera for each of the models – a 32MP unit with autofocus (open loop focus motor) and an f/2.4 aperture

It is the chipset and camera department that the two models differ. The Oppo Reno9 packs a Snapdragon 778G chipset with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage. The 512GB version has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The 256GB versions have LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The model offers a 64MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture, a 6-element lens, and an 80° FoV. It is adjoined by a 2MP mono camera for depth sensing with a 3-element lens, an f/2.4 aperture, and an 89° FoV.

The Oppo Reno9 Pro is based on a Dimensity 8100-MAX chipset with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both models have one and the same cooling system with a 5600 mm² cooling area with ultra-high density graphene and a 3100 mm² superconducting vacuum VC liquid cooling system. The camera department of the Pro model features a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with a 7-element lens with an f/1.8 aperture and a 86° FoV. It is adjoined by an 8MP ultra-wide unit with a 112° FoV, an f/2.2 aperture, and a 5-element lens. The 50MP main camera supports all-pixel omnidirectional focusing and hardware-level DOL-HDR.

The Oppo Reno9 and the Oppo Reno9 Pro are priced as follows:

  • 8GB+256GB = CNY 2499
  • 12GB+256GB = CNY 2699
  • 12GB+512GB = CNY 2999
  • 16GB+256GB = CNY 3499
  • 16GB+512GB = CNY 3799

The Oppo Reno9 Pro+ follows the same dual-side 3D curved design language but replaces one of the colors with a blue option. While retaining the same display as the other two models, it is slightly thicker at 7.99 mm waistline and slightly heavier – 192 grams. This is due mainly to the larger 4700 mAh battery which also supports 80W fast charging. The camera department is upgraded including a 50MP Sony IMX890 main unit with OIS,84-degree FoV, a 6-element lens, and an f/1.8 aperture. There’s an 8MP ultra-wide unit with an f/2.2 aperture, 5-element lens, and a 120-degree FoV. Finally, there’s a 2MP macro camera with a 3-element +IR lens and a 4 cm shooting distance. The front-facing camera is the same 32MP unit used on the other models from the series. The processing power of the model will be based on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It uses a 3165 mm² superconducting vacuum VC liquid cooling system and a 5612 mm² cooling area with ultra-high density graphene. The Oppo Reno9 Pro+ is priced as follows:

  • 16GB+256GB = CNY 3999
  • 16GB+512GB = CNY 4399
