The new TCL smartphones integrate its technology

TCL has revealed its first phones with NxtPaper displays, which the company says have the appearance of paper to provide better eye comfort. The TCL 40 NxtPaper and TCL 40 NxtPaper 5G will be released in Europe in September and October respectively and then in other countries during the year.

Both phones feature a sensor that adjusts screen brightness and color temperature to optimize the display depending on the environment and time of day. When using for reading, TCL says its NxtPaper interface can switch between color and black-and-white mode if the reader wants a more book-like experience.
