Vivo X80 Pro is unveiled in Europe, will go on sale in July

The Vivo X80 Pro has been just launched in Europe. This is basically the same model as the one launched in China in April based on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It runs on Fubntouch OS based on Android 12, while the China version runs on Origin OS Ocean. However, Europe gets the black glass version only with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone is powered by a 4700 mAh battery which supports not only 80W wired fast charging but also 50W wireless fast charging. It features a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display with an LTPO 2.0 backplane, QHD+ resolution (1440 x 3200 px), and an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. There’s an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display and a punch hole for the 32MP selfie camera.

The camera department of the Vivo X80 Pro comprises a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GNV sensor with a 1/1.3″ optical format and an f/1.57 aperture, OIS, laser AF, and Pixel Shift technology. It is adjoined by a 48MP Sony IMX598 ultra-wide unit with an f/2.2 aperture, a 12MP Sony IMX663 portrait camera with 2x zoom, OIS, and an f/1.85 aperture. There’s also a fourth camera – a telephoto one, with 5x zoom, 8MP sensor, OIS, and f/3.4 aperture. Of course, the cameras use Zeiss lenses and have the Zeiss T* coating. On the front, there’s a 32MP Samsung S5KGD1 unit for selfies.

The Vivo X80 Pro also has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It uses a 27-layer vapor chamber cooling system, a Hi-Fi audio chip (CS43131), an IR blaster, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The model will be priced between €1,100 and €1,300 depending on the country and will go on sale in July. Some markets might get it a bit later.
