The Xiaomi 13 series went global today as a part of the MWC 2023 in Barcelona. The smartphones don’t have any significant differences from their Chinese counterparts announced on December 11 last year. Each of the models is based on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 8533 MHz and UFS 4.0 storage. They run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and are as follows:
Xiaomi 13 Pro specifications and features
The Pro version of the series is built around a 6.73-inch OLED display with an LTPO backplane. It has a 2K resolution (1440 x 3200 px), a 120 Hz refresh rate with VRR support, 1920 PWM and DC dimming, a 10-bit color gray depth support. The HBM brightness mode of the display reaches 1200 nits and the peak brightness is 1900 nits. The display is SGS certified for eye safety as well as HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision certified. Power is supplied by a 4820 mAh battery with 120W fast charging, 50W Pro wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Xiaomi’s Surge G1 charging chip is on board.
The camera department of the Xiaomi 13 Pro features a 32MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture, a 5-element lens, and an 89.6° FoV. On the back, there’s a minimalistic camera island with three 50MP cameras. The main one is equipped with the 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, octa-PDAF, HyperOIS, 8-element lens, and a 23 mm focal length equivalent. It can record 8K videos at 24 fps and 4K videos at 60 fps. The second camera is a telephoto unit with a 75 mm focal length equivalent, an f/2.0 aperture, OIS, ZOOM EIS, and a Leica Floating Lens element. Finally, there’s an ultra-wide unit with an f/2.2 aperture, 14 mm focal length equivalent, a 155-degree FoV, and autofocus. All cameras are with Leica optics.
Xiaomi 13 Pro features two stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio, Hi-Res Audio Wireless, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Head Tracking, and Spatial Audio certification and support. The smartphone supports WiFi 6 with 2×2 MIM and 8×8 Sounding for MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3 and Dual-Bluetooth, NFC, infrared, dual-band GPS, etc. The model will be available from March 8 in Ceramic Black or Ceramic White in two versions with the price starting at EUR 1299 for the 12GB+256GB version.

The vanilla version from the series has a 6.36-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate without VRR support. The peak brightness of the model is 1900 nits. The screen is SGS, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision certified. The battery of the model has a capacity of 4500 mAh and supports 67W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. There are also two stereo speakers with the same certifications as the Pro model. The vanilla version also supports the same connectivity options.
Xiaomi 13 also has the same selfie camera – the 32MP unit residing in the punch hole in the display. However, the triple camera department on the back is different. It is headed by a 50MP Sony IMX800 unit with an f/1.8 aperture and HyperOIS. There’s a 10MP telephoto lens with a 75 mm focal length equivalent, an f/2.0 aperture, and OIS. Finally, there’s a 12MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 15 mm focal length equivalent. The vanilla version is available in black, white, and green colors with a glass rear shell. The model’s pricing starts at EUR 999 for the 8GB+256GB version.
Xiaomi 13 Lite made its global debut today along with the other two devices from the Xiaomi 13 series.
