A leak two weeks ago suggested that there won’t be Xiaomi 13 series showing off boxes with Xiaomi 14 on them instead. Obviously, the photo has been fabricated as very soon afterward Xiaomi officially teased the Xiaomi 13 series followed by a number of other teasers. Hence, there’s a good overall idea of what the upcoming Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will look like and what specs they will sport. Here’s a recap of what’s been leaked/teased/speculated on so far.

Xiaomi 13 is expected to have a 6.3-inch FHD+ E6 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 4500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The design of the vanilla model will be flat front and back. The body will have a waistline of 7.98 mm and a weight of 189 g. The available colors will include white, black, green, and blue. The camera department of the Xiaomi 13 will include a 50MP Sony IMX800 main shooter, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide unit.

Xiaomi 13 Pro will be built around a 6.7-inch 2K E6 AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 4820 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Unlike the vanilla version, the Pro model will have a 3D curved design with similar color availability. As a larger model, it will have a waistline of 8.38 mm and will weigh 229 g. The camera department of this device is suitable for the Pro moniker. It will feature a 50MP main shooter with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor and a specially designed Leica lens. It will be joined by two other 50MP cameras using a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor – one behind an ultra-wide lens and another behind a telephoto lens. The latter will have a 75 mm focal length (35 mm equivalent).

There are many features that the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro have in common. For starters, each will be based on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. They will run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and will have Xiaomi’s Surge G1 chip supporting 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. IP68 rating for both models, NFC support, X-axis linear motor, and other features are also circulating in the rumor mill. But do take all this with a pinch of salt as many leaks have proven to be misleading.
